Temperature Records for Food Cooling Chambers

Temperature Records for Food Cooling Chambers: Controlling the maintenance temperature of food is among other, a very important factor in ensuring their quality. Maintaining the appropriate temperature during production, trafficking, storage and disposal of foodstuffs guarantees public health. Ensuring proper operation of the equipment protects the professional from damage, which can be particularly injurious if the problem is not identified in good time. So there are a number of professionals today who have recording systems, not out of obligation, but with a sense of responsibility towards the consumer, while protecting their business.

Laws & Compliance

From the 1989 the European Community has adopted laws specifying in which food businesses and how, critical sizes must be recorded throughout the refrigeration chain., from production to disposal.

According to the current legislation, the refrigeration and simple freezing refrigerator compartments as well as the deep freezing chambers (temperature less than or equal to -18 0C), private or public use, capacity from 50 m3 and above, must be equipped with appropriate automatic recording instruments for continuous or regular (Per 15 minutes at least) monitoring air temperature and humidity, in which foodstuffs intended for human consumption are found.

Recording the temperature or / humidity should be carried out by electronic temperature control systems, equipped with memory.  They record in memory temperature fluctuations or / and humidity at regular intervals (at least per 15 Minutes), and retain this data for at least one year. They have the ability to transfer data to a PC, reproduction and printing of such data, which may also be requested by the audit authorities, when carrying out an on-the-spot check.

Compliance with regulatory guidelines and supply chain efficiency are essential goals of any business of perishable products. In EcoHellas.Gr, we offer a comprehensive range of services and products, effectively support the achievement of these global objectives. The global reach and the proven innovation allows us to meet almost every need of the customers.

Quality Assurance

In order to ensure the quality of food, it is necessary to prevent,  which is achieved by defining, checking and recording all critical parameters of food throughout their life cycle from production to consumption.

Thus, European and National Legislation set a mandatory framework for the implementation of the principles of, which for many prudent professionals are considered to be important in any case, quality management systems such as HACCP and recently ISO 22000, are important tools for achieving the most important objective of, that of quality assurance.

From this point of view, businesses today focus their efforts on quality not only because it is imposed on them but because they choose it and, moreover, it is a basic consumer claim..

Sensitech®, of which we are the exclusive agent for Greece & Cyprus, gives you control over the quality of the product with a comprehensive portfolio of services, that help you monitor and manage the entire temperature-sensitive supply chain.

Select A Recording –  Compliance with legislation (EN12830)

Permanent installation recording systems, comply with european standard EN12830 on recording systems.

Summary, this standard indicates:

  • Number of Registrations: The system should be able to store in uninterrupted memory, data for at least 12 Months.
  • Measurement accuracy: The maximum error (Accuracy) measurements should be ±1 0C.
  • Logging rate: Measurements should be made at most per 30 Minutes (the HACCP standard sets per 15 Minutes).
Access to Recordings, Ease of Use

Access to system logs and ease of use of the, is a very important factor in choosing the appropriate system.

Almost all recording systems on the market are connected to p, in order to monitor and print the recordings, while some systems have the ability to operate autonomously without the use of p.

Now there arehigh-tech recording which may operate autonomously in terms of the recording process, but by sending their data toonline platform in the storage cloud (Cloud) over a network, in real time, so that the user can easily manage them through any computer or mobile device and have full control over the installation of the, at any time, even when he's not there.

Customer Support

Our team can help you identify weaknesses in your cold chain, identify the root causes and make suggestions for improvements. They can help you focus on, where they will have the greatest impact, leading to the continuous improvement of cold chain processes.

Real-Time Notifications

The development of technology, now allows electronic recording systems to also function as security systems, providing real-time notifications, via SMS or E-mail messages, in case of temperature deviations or power outages. Notifications are aimed at authorized users, which have been included in advance in the system.

Cost & Financing

The cost of installing a recording system is considered small compared to the benefits of a business, from the use of.

In addition to complying with the legislation, a business is able to monitor the behaviour of cooling chambers, to anticipate potential problems and improve storage conditions and therefore the quality of products.

A recording system that has a notification, as mentioned above, can prevent an undertaking from damaging and altering or destroying the food it maintains, the cost of which may exceed the value of the installation of the recording.

The purchase and installation of a recording system, is now also funded by national and European programmes in the context of the implementation of a quality assurance system by an undertaking.
