SensiGuard Cargo Theft: SensiGuard Center® Supply Chain Intelligence Center (Scic) actively monitors and records cases for Cargo Theft around the globe, categorising the stolen shipments into twelve different product types and locating by date, Location, operating system (Modus Operandi), value and specific product. On a regular basis, we issue safety bulletins and cargo theft reports to help companies mitigate risks, linked to theft, the alteration, counterfeiting, the diversion, embezzlement and other threats to cargo safety.

Theft of Cargo in the EMEA area
This is the final publication of the four where we share the recording of a percentage of the Centre Scic, concerning the 2The quarter highlighting a different area.
Using the method of petty thefts and tearing the tarp of the truck, which is the most widespread, It's not surprising that most thefts take place at night.. In 2The quarter of 2019 the night episodes covered the 21% of registered cases, with a much lower percentage in the daily occurrences in the 12%
With the M.O.’s of Pilferage and Curtain Slashing being the most used, it is not surprising that Night continues to be the time of the day that most recorded incidents occur. In Q2-2019, Night saw 51% of the incidents recorded, with a much smaller portion of 12% during the Day. Not there is Clarification For The Rest 37%.
During Q2-2018 the incidents are quite similar to the number of night incidents in the first place (53%), followed by Not specified (36%) and Daily (11%).

The top three methods consist of a similar list for the Q2-2018 quarter with petty thefts, also in the first place (47%) and tearing tarpaulin in second place (25%). Here are the most important load theft notices by category for the period from April to June of 2014 2019 in eMEA:
- Germany: Μόνον το τρίμηνο Q1-2019, the target product was the Car & τα Ανταλλακτικά περισσότερο (13%), followed by the Building & Industrial (5%), and Electronics, Various, Household & Κήπου (4% each). Theft attempts were also recorded in the largest proportion of the 44%. The Unknown Product at a rate 17%.
- Netherlands: Unsafe Parking (92%) continue to maintain the largest proportion of cases in the Q2-2019 quarter, followed by the Safe Parking (5%), location which is not usually shown in the first three locations. The Warehouses/Dc (2%) are in third place in the list.
- Russia: For the first time Russia occupies a place among the top countries, for the sake of the new reliable RIFT Advisory partner. The map above shows the locations where our SCIC center recorded 66 cases in the q2-2019 quarter. There are significant differences in location where the incidents were recorded in Russia, as opposed to the fact that it typically occurs in the rest of the EMEA – in the quarter – Q2-2019, Business Facilities/Yard (54%) is the first place, followed by In–Transit And Warehouses/Dc (17% each), and Railway (9%).

Therefore, totals for the most recent quarter are expected to rise above those recorded so far. It is scic's practice to use updated theft numbers for previous quarters, when comparing them to current three monthly quarter totals.
