Thanks to these hardworking and dedicated people, we are here today., Ever since the cold chain started..

We are pleased to begin our celebration with a series of three sections, on the history of monitoring the cold chain through the eyes of our guest author and the former CEO of Sensitech, Eric Schultz. This series will document the history of the cold chain and sensitech's vital role as a developing, innovative industry leader.

The 1992, two years after the establishment of the, Sensitech launched its first electronic temperature recorder, the TempTale®1 (TT1). TT1 was the first in an ever-improving series of recorders with sensors that will soon find their way to every corner of the planet.

Short History Sensitech

Sensitech, 1995

Șα TempTale monitors provide precision, reliability and ease of use. As customers adopted this new online product line, focus now on software and data analysis. Unlike paper charts created by recorders, with movies the digital data collected by a TempTale will now be able to, be stored, be sorted and analysed, thus monitoring the trends of the cold chain. By the mid-1980s 1990, customers were asking about new features, As “predictive analytics”. Other customers wondered about the real-time tracking feature.

A Lasting Winter

Sensitech's first customers included some of the world's largest food and pharmaceutical companies. Food customers were anticipating an expansion of, greater confidence in third-party distributors and the desire to send more susceptible value-added food products, such as cut fruits and salads.

Pharmaceutical customers coined the term "cold chain" to describe the seamless and interconnected network of refrigerated trucks, Trailers, aircraft and marine containers, warehouse and retail refrigeration and household refrigeration equipment based on information systems, trained specialists and excellent cooperation and communications. The cold chain was a global "enduring winter", largely unnoticed by the public, which, however, has helped to ensure the effectiveness of medicinal products and to prolong the shelf life of foodstuffs.

So food customers as well as pharmacists they envisioned cold chains that would become longer, more complex, More expensive, more regulated – riskier as their businesses grew.

Innovation Continues

Sensitech responded to these needs by creating a range of services, Professional Services, which could help companies use information about their cold chain to lead to an improvement in the process and reduce costs. Through a combination of direct sales and global distributors, the company became able to provide almost any cold chain in the world with an end-to-end visibility solution.

As the Internet grew, Sensitech shifted its information from desktop applications. Sensitech solutions allowed customers to combine logistics information with time and temperature data into a secure data management system.

Annual TempTale missions increased from thousands to millions, complemented by new monitoring options, such as the electronic indicator TagAlert® and increasingly sophisticated analytics.

"Our key skills are in food distribution and food retailing", said a customer. "Sensitech's basic capabilities are in cold chain management and temperature monitoring. You put the two together., and you have gotten the best from both resources and, by doing this, you will get a good stable solution to the problems".

To 1997 and again the 1998, Sensitech becomes one of the 500 fastest growing companies in America. The acquisition of Ryan Instruments in 2014 2000 and Cox Technologies in 2014 2004 expanded the global footprint and benefits to its customers. By 2020, the 2005, services such as Cold Chain Control and Thermal Mapping Studies, as well as the first attempts at detection and detection technologies led Sensitech to redefine its benefits, from the monitoring of temperature-susceptible products up to the visibility of the cold chain. 1

The Need for the Development of the Cold Chain

While Sensitech was growing, the need for the global cold chain has increased even faster. New organic products, delivery protocols and international production complicate global drug distribution. Meanwhile, the United Nations gathers information on the global food model showing that humanity is wasting, Loses, one third of all those produced, with vulnerable fruits and vegetables representing the 40% of this loss. According to an estimate for India, the country, not with a strong cold chain, lost up to half of the harvest of products per year.2

By 2020, the 2006, Sensitech had conquered its dynamic presence in the market and was an attractive application for a corporate partner that could help it cope with the growing global opportunities in the emerging landscape of the cold chain.
